| Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct). The instructions below apply "in any case" to the following Huawei devices: P30 Pro P30 P30 Lite Nova 5T P20 Pro P20 P20 Lite Mate20 Pro Mate20 Mate20 Lite P SMART 2019 P SMART 2018 P SMART Plus P SMART Z P10 Plus P10 P10 Lite Mate10 Pro Mate10 Lite Mate9 Y7 Y6 Honor10 Honor Play Huawei P40 (Lite) devices and other new Huawei devices are unfortunately not supported, because these devices no longer use Google Play services.
STEP 1 Get the Android and associated so-called EMUI version on your Huawei phone. This is more important than your precise device version: Tap Settings > System > About phone or : Settings > Device info > Software info, there is the Android version number. STEP 2 If the Android version is 9.0 (EMUI version 9.0 or 9.1): - Choose Settings > Security & Privacy > Location Access. Turn ON Location access.
- Choose Settings > Security & Privacy > Location Access > Advanced Settings. Turn ON Wi-Fi scanning.
- Choose Settings > Security & Privacy > Location Access > Location Services. If available, choose Google location accuracy. Select Improve ON.
- Choose Settings > Apps > Permissions > Location. Choose our app from the list and ENABLE option.
- Choose Settings > Apps > Apps > click the button with the 3 vertical dots at the top > choose Special access > Battery optimization > select “All apps” at the top > search for our app > tap "Don't allow".
- Select Settings > Battery. Turn OFF the Performance mode, Energy saving mode and Ultra energy saving mode options.
- Select Settings > Battery > App launch. DISABLE the Automatic management option. Choose our app from the list and tap 2x on the option. Turn ON the Automatic start, Secondary startup and Run options in the background.
- Select Settings > Battery > More battery settings. Turn ON option to Stay connected when device is sleeping.
- Choose square menu button (next to round home and triangle back button) or swipe screen from bottom to top. Choose our app from the list of recent apps, pull down and release. Lock appears.
- Choose Optimization > Data usage. DISABLE the Smart data saving option.
- Choose Optimization > Network access > Installed apps. Choose our app from list. Turn ON Mobile data and Wi-Fi options.
If the Android version is 10.0 (EMUI version 10.0): - Choose Settings > Location > Location Access > turn ON Access to my location.
Choose Settings > Apps > Apps > select our app > Permissions > set Location permission to "Allow all the time". - Choose Settings > Location > Location Access > Advanced Settings > turn ON Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning.
- Choose Settings > Battery > turn OFF Performance mode.
- Choose Settings > Battery > turn OFF Power saving mode.
- Choose Settings > Battery > turn OFF Ultra power saving mode.
- Choose Settings > Battery > Optimize > select "Don't optimize".
- Choose Settings > Battery > App launch > turn OFF the Manage everything automatically option.
- Choose Settings > Battery > App launch > choose our app > turn ON the “Manage manually" option. Then turn ON the options Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background.
Or: Choose Settings > Apps > select our app > Power usage details > App launch > DEACTIVATE "Manage automatically". Then turn ON the options Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background. - Choose Settings > Apps > Advanced (below) > select Ignore optimizations > select All apps > search for our app > tap “Allow".
Or: Choose Settings > Apps > Apps > click the button with the 3 vertical dots at the top > choose Special access > Battery optimization > select “All apps” at the top > search for our app > tap "Don't allow". - Select Settings > Battery > More battery settings. Turn ON option to Stay connected when device is sleeping.
- Choose Optimization > Data usage. DISABLE the Smart data saving option.
