First, let's make sure you understand 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G are just different generations of the network. G = generation. Your internet speed will be determined by the signal strength for the specific network. Each network may use different digital technology. Of course, some phones might not support a type of network(generation) so your internet speed will be lower.
Our trip recorder uses a combination of the network (WiFi or Mobile network) and GPS signal to determine your location. By the two working together we are able to offer a better experience with better location accuracy.
So the better your connection, the better the trip recording feature will work, as well as the location accuracy of those trips.
