Phone settings for OnePlus mobile devices

If you own a OnePlus, check for the Android version you are using and follow the installation settings below accordingly. 


If Android 9 installed on the OnePlus device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

  1. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose the Gear icon in the top right corner > Special access > turn OFF "Battery optimization".
  2. Go to Recent apps > toggle ON the lock button in the top right corner of our app.
    Or: Long press on the app to open the menu with the lock option.
    Result: A closed lock will now appear.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn OFF "Battery Saver" and "Adaptive Battery".
  4. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn OFF Battery Optimization,
    go to 'All apps' in the menu at the top > choose our app > "Don't optimize".
  5. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Battery optimization > (three dot menu icon in the upper-right corner) > Advanced optimization > turn OFF the following 2 options: "Advanced optimization" (or "Deep optimization" or Adaptive battery ") and" Sleep standby optimization".
  6. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Battery optimization > switch to 'All apps list' (Top menu) > choose our app > "Don't optimize".
  7. Go to Phone settings > System > Recent app management > choose "Normal clear".


If Android 10 installed on the OnePlus device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

  1. Go to Phone settings > Apps & notifications > Special app access > Battery optimization > three dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen > choose "Advanced optimization" > turn OFF "Adaptive battery".
  2. Go to Phone settings > Apps & notifications > click on "SEE ALL APPS" > choose our app > Advanced > Battery optimization > "Don't optimize".
    Or via: Phone settings > Battery > Battery optimization > ALL APPS > choose our app > "Don't optimize".
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn OFF Battery Saver.
  4. Go to Recent apps > select our app > three dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen > select the option "Lock".


If Android 11 installed on the OnePlus device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn Battery Saver OFF.
  2. Go to the OnePlus "Home" screen and open the All apps screen > go to our app > tap and hold on to the app's icon until a list of options appears > click on “App Info”:
    - Go to Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization > choose “Don't Optimize”.
    - Go to Battery Manager > Allow background activity > turn the switch ON.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Apps & Notifications > App Permissions > choose our app > set the appropriate permissions (including Access to the approximate location and Access to precise location).
  4. Go to Phone Settings > Wi-Fi & Internet > Wi-Fi > enable “Scan always available”.
  5. Open our app > go to "Recent apps" > click on the Lock button on the top right corner of the app preview. Our app will now have the closed paddle lock icon.
  6. If present on the OnePlus device:
    Go to Phone Settings > Apps > click on the Gear icon (= wheel) on the top right > choose "App auto-lauch" > turn it ON for our app.
  7. Go to Phone Settings > choose our app > App info > Permissions > turn OFF the option “Remove permissions if an app isn't used”.


If Android 12 installed on the OnePlus device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurements are not (properly) measured:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Location > Location Services > Google Location Accuracy > turn ON "Improve Location Accuracy".
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > App permissions:
    - Physical activity > select “Allow”
    - Location > select “Always allow” AND turn “Use precise location” ON.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > Battery > select "Unrestriced".
  4. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Power saving mode: turn OFF.
  5. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > App battery management > turn "Allow foreground activity" AND "Allow all background activity" both ON.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Advanced settings:
    - High Performance Mode: turn ON
    - Optimize battery usage > all apps list is shown > choose our app > choose “Don't Optimize”.
  7. Go to Phone Settings > search for “auto“ > choose "App autostart" > turn ON
    Or:
    Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Default apps > Apps that launch automatically > turn ON for our app.
  8. Go to the "Recent apps" list > select and hold our app to see the menu options > choose "Lock"
    Or:
    Go to Phone settings > Privacy > click on the “App Lock” button (under “Protected privacy”) > find our app in the list > turn the switch ON (= app is locked).

  1. Go to the "Recent apps" list > select and hold our app to see the menu options > choose Details > Battery usage > set the following:
    - Disable Mobile data: Mobile data must be enabled, not disabled
    - Disable WiFi: WiFi must be enabled, not disabled
    - Use background data: turn ON
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > follow these steps:
    - Remove permission if app is unused: turn OFF
    - Go to 'App permissions > 'Remove permissions and free up space' turn OFF.

 

If Android 13 is installed on the OnePlus device

Check the following settings if there are problems with measurements not being taken (properly):

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Location > Location Services > Google Location Accuracy > turn ON "Improve Location Accuracy".
  2. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > turn “Pause app activity when not in use” OFF.
  3. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > Permissions:
    - Physical activity > select “Allow”
    - Location > select “Always allow” AND turn “Use precise location” ON.
  4. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > Battery consumption:
    - Allow foreground activity: turn ON
    - Allow background activity: turn ON
    - Allow automatic start: turn ON.
  5. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > Data usage:
    - Disable mobile data: Turn OFF
    - Disable Wi-Fi: Turn OFF
    - Use data in the background: Turn ON.
  6. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Power saving mode: turn OFF.
  7. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Advanced settings:
    - High performance mode: turn ON
    - Optimize battery usage > all apps list is shown > choose our app > choose “Don't Optimize”.
  8. Go to the "Recent apps" list > tap our app icon to see the menu options > choose "Lock this app".
    A lock will now appear at the bottom of the app. The app is now locked.
