YES.
You must have an internet connection to use the app. The app will not work without an internet connection but if the app is already running we recommend leaving it running until you get to a connection. That way, when you are recording a trip and by any chance, you run out of data, the app will continue to record your trip in the background but with less accuracy.
The app will update the information once you have your connection back on, that way you don't lose your trip records.
